An exceptionally rare production sample of the Jean Paul Gaultier by Alain Mikli GL1107 sunglasses, created for the designers’ collaborative eyewear collection introduced in 2011.

While this rounded, three-armed model was released in several colourways, the all-black version is an exceptionally rare variation, making it a highly collectible example of the collaboration.

Crafted in glossy black acetate, the frame features rounded dark lenses and an unusual triple-arm construction, dividing each temple into three parallel lines. The architectural structure is characteristic of the collaboration, combining Gaultier’s unconventional approach to form with Alain Mikli’s technical and sculptural eyewear design.

About Jean Paul Gaultier x Alain Mikli

Jean Paul Gaultier and French eyewear designer Alain Mikli joined forces for the Jean Paul Gaultier by MIKLI eyewear collection, introduced in 2011 and released internationally in early 2012. The collaboration brought together Gaultier’s unconventional approach to fashion with Mikli’s distinctive approach to eyewear, resulting in sculptural frames characterised by unusual proportions, bold acetate constructions and experimental temple designs.
