An original 1992 first-edition of Madonna’s Sex — one of the most controversial and culturally significant art books ever published. Created in collaboration with photographer Steven Meisel and art director Fabien Baron, the book challenged mainstream boundaries around sexuality, censorship, fashion and celebrity.
Its industrial metal covers, spiral binding and Mylar wrap were radical for their time, transforming the book into an object at the intersection of fetish, performance and high fashion. Upon release, Sex caused global uproar, sold out instantly, and has since become one of the most collectible pop-cultural publications of the 1990s.
