Knee-high boots from Maison Martin Margiela’s Fall/Winter 2008–2009 collection, documented in the original seasonal lookbook (see the green color variation in the pictures).

Crafted from exceptionally textured black leather, described as cuir écaillé (“scaled leather”) in the original lookbook. The leather has been worked into an intricate, finely layered surface with an almost pleated effect, giving the boots an incredible depth and texture that is difficult to fully capture in photographs. As the light moves across the leather, the raised layers become much more pronounced.

The elongated silhouette is finished with a pointed toe, slim cone-shaped heel and side zip fastening — a striking example of Margiela’s material experimentation from the late Martin era.

Condition: Very good vintage condition. The leather is overall well preserved, with some visible scuffing and wear to the leather covering the cone heels (see pictures). The soles are in very good condition and have been fitted with protective Vibram soles.
